Welcome to BudgetMule. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the platform immediately.
BudgetMule is a free personal finance platform that helps users track spending, organize transactions, and gain budgeting insights. Users can upload financial data via CSV or Excel files, categorize transactions, and view reports across multiple accounts.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use BudgetMule. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally permitted to use the platform in your jurisdiction.
When you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. BudgetMule is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.
BudgetMule is a software tool designed to help you organize and visualize your personal finances. It does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All projections, charts, insights, and calculations provided by the platform are for informational purposes only.
You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make. We strongly encourage consulting a qualified financial advisor for personalized guidance.

You retain full ownership of any financial data you upload to BudgetMule. By uploading data, you grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership over your data, nor do we use it for any purpose beyond delivering the BudgetMule experience.
BudgetMule relies on the data you provide. We do not independently verify the accuracy or completeness of uploaded financial information. As such, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of any projections, categorizations, totals, or insights generated by the platform. You acknowledge that any discrepancies in your data may lead to inaccurate results.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BudgetMule and its operator shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, financial losses, data inaccuracies, service interruptions, data breaches, or loss of uploaded information.
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We strive to keep BudgetMule available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire platform at any time, with or without notice, for maintenance, updates, or any other reason. We are not liable for any downtime or service disruptions.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misused the platform. You may also delete your own account at any time through the Settings page.
BudgetMule may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those external sites. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.
All content, branding, design, code, and materials on BudgetMule are the intellectual property of BudgetMule and its operator. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without prior written permission.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BudgetMule, its operator, and any affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of BudgetMule shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal communication by contacting us at info@budgetmule.com. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of BudgetMule after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
